DIY Custom Wedding Wine Labels

DIY Custom Wedding Wine Labels

We had some friends who were getting married and we wanted to
make the wine bottles on their tables memorable.

I looked all over the web on how to remove existing wine labels to put
my own custom wine labels on. I wanted a method that was fast, preferbly
all the tools I had on hand and removed the labels leaving no trace of them.

This method worked beautifully. I included a step by step
process so you could see how easy this was. This really adds a class
of touch to any wedding or event. You could apply this technique for
any other celebration, unique dinner event or I even thought this
would make a cute gift =)

Visit to The Nolitan Hotel in NYC

Fun weekend at The Nolitan in NYC

We recently stayed at The Nolitan Hotel.  Had a great time! The hotel reminded me of a hotel designed by the writers of Dwell magazine. We wanted to stay in a hotel that was fun yet close to Little Italy and China Town while still in the hip neighborhood of Nolita. We're glad to say we found it. Staff was friendly and the accommodation was 4 stars. We'll definitely be back!!! Our new home away from home. =)

Artist's Journey to Paris

After years of dreaming and planning we finally made it to Paris! What we found was inspiration and a appreciation for what easily is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. A true delight for the senses. We wanted to share some pictures we took and will be writing more about our experience about this lovely city made for lover's and artist alike. =)

A LITTLE ABOUT THE ARTISTS

My name is Melinda and art has always been a huge part of my life but I didn't know what an impact it would have on my life and others until I met my husband. While working as a graphic artist I had an opportunity to find a wonderful man who was not currently pursuing graphic design but had a college degree in the field. After he proposed to me in an art gallery, by painting "Will you marry me" we have been great friends and business partners ever since. We combined our skills to create KEEP CALM SHOP along with our other etsy shops.

Feel free to stop in and browse some of our current art collection featured on etsy at www.keepcalmshop.etsy.com, www.pixiepixels.etsy.com or www.thewordshop.etsy.com. Many of our collectors have wondered how we got started. I thought I might take a little time to address that. We try to create shops with a feel of modern nostalgia so with that in mind we first start with a concept, then we sketch it, yes by hand. That's where it gets fun, the sketch moves from the drawing board to the scanner and then I turn it into vector graphics so we have the option to offer wide ranges of sizes and color selections to our audience. So we hope you enjoy and may we all continue to inspire on another. =)
